I'm Mandeep. I work at Starling Bank as a software engineer. I studied maths and computer science at the University of Edinburgh. I grew up in Newcastle and currently spend my time between Edinburgh and London.
I'm an engineer with a broad range of interests. I started in multiplayer game development and later moved onto systems engineering. In recent years I've worked on machine learning projects, both research and engineering. At Starling Bank I've worked on product and building reliable distributed systems, with a stint in the data team building NLP models and tackling problems in ML engineering.
At different points in my life I've dabbled in Muay Thai, Buddhism, photography, scuba diving, motorcycling and reading economic history. Some of these have stuck more than others.
